1. Overview & Information We Collect

When you use MicroRead ("the Application"), we collect certain information to provide and improve our reading and listening services:

• Account Information: If you register or log in (via Supabase Auth), we collect your email address and an encrypted authentication identifier to synchronize your reading progress, custom library, and daily streaks across devices.
• Usage & Reading Progress: Chapters read, daily reading streaks, streak freeze history, and book breakdown preferences (e.g., target minutes per day, preferred language).
• Device & Diagnostics Data: Anonymous technical device data, operating system version, and crash logs to maintain app stability and performance.

2. Third-Party Services & SDKs

MicroRead integrates trusted industry-standard third-party services to deliver AI generation, audio streaming, monetization, and authentication:

• Supabase: Cloud database, authentication, and secure data storage (Privacy Policy).
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to serve banner and rewarded video ads to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and approximate location (Google Privacy Policy).
• Google Cloud & Gemini AI: Powers real-time published book grounding, executive summary synthesis, and Studio Neural Text-to-Speech audio generation. Prompts are processed securely and not used to train public models without consent.
• RevenueCat: In-app purchase and subscription receipt validation for Google Play Billing and Apple StoreKit (RevenueCat Privacy Policy).

3. Data Encryption & Security

All data transmitted between the Application, our backend servers (Supabase), and external APIs is strictly encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS 1.3 protocols.

4. In-App Subscriptions & Ad-Free Experience

MicroRead offers optional premium in-app subscriptions. Premium subscribers enjoy an entirely 100% ad-free experience with unlimited AI book generation and neural audio narration. Payment details are handled securely by Google Play or Apple App Store and are never stored on our servers.

5. User Rights & Data Deletion

In accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play Data Safety standards, you retain complete ownership over your data:

• Account & Data Deletion: You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated reading history, library entries, and streaks at any time directly through the app or by emailing our support team.
• Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can manage your advertising ID preferences directly within your Android/iOS system settings.

6. Children's Privacy

MicroRead is designed for general audiences aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be posted directly to this URL with a revised "Last Updated" date.
